Vick: 'I am not a backup'
By Mike Zeisberger, Toronto Sun

Michael Vick isn’t about to go quietly into the NFL night.

Dropped to third among quarterbacks on the Eagles depth chart, Vick is eyeing a No. 1 job for next season, wherever that might be. Arizona, the Jets, Kansas City and Buffalo are all locations that will be looking for quarterbacking help in the off-season.

“I am not a backup. Just being honest, just being candid. I’m a full-fledged starter,” Vick told the Birds 24/7 blog. “That’s what I’ve got in me, that’s what I provide, that’s what I offer.

“Whatever happens, wherever I end up, they’re going to get 110%. You’re going to get the same thing out of me that you got the last two, three years, and that’s 110% effort and a guy that’s confident in his abilities to play and win.”

Vick will be 33 by the time training camps start next summer.

“I want to start ... I’ll feel that way until I start to feel like I’m becoming a problem on the team,” he said.

Do you think Chad Johnson can still play at a high level in the NFL?
Yes, he is a talented receiver
No, he is too old to play
CFL might be a better option
