It's probably not the endorsement New York Jets players needed to hear from their new starting quarterback.
But Greg McElroy, who has been handed the starter's job from beleaguered Jets coach Rex Ryan for Sunday's meaningless meeting with the San Diego Chargers, praised the man he is replacing.
