Kirk Cousins will start at quarterback for the Washington Redskins on Sunday in Cleveland, the club announced Saturday night.

Fellow rookie Robert Griffin III, who suffered a mild strain to his right knee last week against Baltimore, had started the first 13 games for the Skins.

The Redskins selected Cousins in the fourth round of April's NFL draft, after having traded up to take Griffin second overall.

"The decision was not my own," Griffin tweeted. "But I will be there for my team!!! In every way I possibly can."

Is first round pick Eric Fisher a decent choice by the Kansas City Chiefs?
  Yes.
  No.
He has to prove himself before I decide.
