Packer's Finley pokes wounded Bear
By BILL LANKOFF, QMI Agency

Packers’ Jermichael Finley has voiced what some people quietly have believed for some time: The Chicago Bears are a better football team without Brian Urlacher then they are with Brian Urlacher.

Still, considering the Bears’ injury problems lately, actually hearing someone make such a suggestion regarding the all-Pro linebacker does sound a bit like piling on. OK, it’s football heresy, actually.

But it also has a ring of truth.

This isn’t the same Brian Urlacher who terrorized offences in the past, much like this isn’t the same Bears team that dominated opponents earlier this season.

Chicago, which looked like it might dominate the NFC North this season, is now fighting for its playoff life and, when they face Finley’s Packers this weekend, they will do so without Urlacher. And, in attempting to express that the Bears are still a dangerous foe, Finley ended up debasing Urlacher.

Do you think Chad Johnson can still play at a high level in the NFL?
Yes, he is a talented receiver
No, he is too old to play
CFL might be a better option
