ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - When Buffalo Bills defenders now proudly state they are "gap sound," they're not disparaging Old Navy.
They're referring to the proper way for an 11-man unit to snuff out the opposing team's running game.
The retooled, re-energized Bills defence was expected to do that from the get-go this season. But through the first two months, it was horrible. Truly.
In many statistical categories, theirs was the worst defence in the NFL.
