JACKSONVILLE - Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee has reportedly received a franchise tag.

The Florida Times-Union quotes Scobee's agent as saying the kicker won't immediately sign the one-year tender and will continue to work toward a long- term contract.

Scobee has spent each of his eight seasons with the Jaguars and last season made all but two of his 25 field goal tries and connected on each of his 24 extra-point attempts to finish with 93 points.

The 29-year-old veteran had a career-best five field goals of 50 yards or longer last season. He will earn about $2.6 million in 2012 if he signs the franchise tender and cannot agree to a long-term deal.
