INDIANAPOLIS - Reports say the Kansas City Chiefs will go hard after Peyton Manning should the Colts quarterback be released by March 8, and if he can still play.

New Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel didn't exactly throw water on that fire Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine.

"I'm not supposed to talk about anybody else's players, and he's still a player with Indianapolis," Crennel said. "But with a talent like that, I would be crazy not to consider it if he were available. So I'll leave it at that."

Consider the reports confirmed.
