Hines Ward has been sentenced to 80 hours of community service for driving drunk last year.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence in Georgia on July 9, 2011. He was released on bail.

Now Ward has struck a deal with prosecutors by pleading guilty to failure to stay in his lane and no contest to reckless driving.

As part of the agreement, Ward must log 80 hours with a charitable organisation, pay $2,000 in fines, cover court costs and submit to an alcohol assessment test and any treatment deemed appropriate by evaluators.

In addition, Ward has been sentenced to 12 months probation, according to TMZ.com.
