Big Ben remains hobbled with a wonky left ankle, but at least he is expected to line up against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

The same can not be said for the man who usually snaps him the ball.

Pittsburgh Steelers offensive co-ordinator Bruce Arians admitted on Thursday that the availability of second-year centre Maurkice Pouncey is becoming increasingly doubtful after additional soreness in Pouncey's sprained left ankle left him unavailable to practice.

Pouncey missed last year's Super Bowl loss to the Green Bay Packers after suffering a high sprain to that same left ankle during the Steelers AFC championship game victory over the New York Jets.

As for Ben Roethlisberger, he managed to complete a full workout on Thursday on his own sprained left ankle. Arians noted that Roethlisberger was "moving around OK (but) not as good as he was."
