STUDS

Tom Brady, QB, NE

361 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, 27 rushing yards, 28 points.

Those 27 rushing yards are the second most he has ever had in a game.

Beanie Wells, RB, ARZ

228 rushing yards, 1 TD, 1 fumble lost, 26 points.

Every once in a while Beanie explodes for a game like this, so it’s not too surprising.

Roy Helu, RB, WAS

108 rushing yards, 54 receiving yards, 1 TD, 21 points.

He was the only Skins back to have more than one carry in Seattle.

Wes Welker, WR, NE

115 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 23 points.

Those Eagles all-pro corners couldn’t contend with this tiny dynamo.

Johnny Knox, WR, CHI

145 receiving yards, 1 TD, 20 points.

Seemed to do alright even with the downgrade from Cutler to Hanie this week.

Dustin Keller, TE, NYJ

61 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 18 points.

The last time he had two scores in a game was also against the Bills.

Sebastian Janikowski, K, OAK

6/6 FGs, 1 PAT, 23 points.

Four of those fields goals were from 40+, raking in bonus fantasy points.

TENNESSE TITANS DEFENCE

11 points allowed, 2 sacks, 1 INT, 4 fumbles recovered, 22 fantasy points.

Their game against the Bucs featured a whopping nine turnovers.

DUDS

Matt Leinart, QB, HOU

Not even two quarters into his first start as a Texan, Leinart broke his collarbone and is out for the rest of the season. If you started him, you were stuck with six points.

Ryan Torain, RB, WAS

Not only did he not get a touch, he was barely able to get on the field. Seems like Mike Shanahan is screwing with us again.

Andre Johnson, WR, HOU

Even when you’re an all-pro wide out, it matters who’s throwing it to you. With the Leinart-Yates combo, Johnson had only two catches for 22 yards.

Nate Washington, WR, TEN

Maybe his magic was just with Jake Locker at the helm. The formerly hot WR had just one catch for 12 yards.

HOPE YOU STARTED

Knowing that the Bills defence is a bit sub-par, starting Mark Sanchez could have really paid off for you. His four TDs made up for a low total of 180 yards.

Thanks largely to his 48 pass attempts, Vince Young had a monster fantasy with 400 yards through the air. It’s just too bad for the Eagles that he only threw for one score though.

WHEN I’M WRONG, I SAY I’M WRONG

“Sit Ryan Fitzpatrick.”

Despite trying to pick on Darrelle Revis — usually a big no-no — Fitzpatrick had a great fantasy day in the Bills, tossing three touchdowns and ranking second among QBs this week.

ROB LONGLEY’S YOU BET

If you backed the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, you have bone to pick with speedy receiver A.J. Green. The big play in the final minute seemed like a sure touchdown until he was pushed out of bounds just beyond the one-yard line. As a result, the Bengals had to settle for a last-minute field goal to win by three and miss the cover over Cleveland. The Bengals were anywhere from 6½ to 7-point favourites and came that close to the miracle cover ... It didn’t matter when you got in on the Texans — and a lot of people did — you all got the money. Houston opened as three-point favourites over the Jags, were bet up to 6½ and did just enough with a 20-13 win ... If you’ve invested any time and money in the NFL point spread, you know the lines are pretty good, but how about this stat prior to Sunday’s play: Since 2007, favourites had an edge of 592 to 590 (plus a couple hundred or so pushes.) ... For the previous couple of weeks, the public was keen to back Tim Tebow and the Broncos. This week, the sharp players jumped on board, recognizing that Tebow does nothing but find a way to win and cover while San Diego coach Norv Turner does nothing but find a way to lose and not cover. The Chargers are now 2-9 ATS on the season ... You’ll likely have to lay a TD to get the money with the Saints over the Giants on the Monday nighter. The good news for Saints backers is that they are on a four-game home winning streak against the spread.
