Those Ryan brothers can’t stay out of the papers.

Usually it is Rex who attracts the spotlight, but Dallas defensive co-ordinator Rob Ryan has his moments as well.

Philadelphia’s DeSean Jackson blasted Rob Ryan this week for running his mouth, saying Ryan shouldn’t talk because he isn’t a player.

Ryan said Friday that Jackson is correct, but said he wouldn’t back down if the mercurial receiver got in his face.

“Hell, he doesn’t have to worry about tackling me. If he does, he can tackle me,” Ryan told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

“That’d be great, because I’m going to land on his shoulder and put him out. So that’ll be awesome. Hell, he can tackle me two or three times.”

Jackson was annoyed that Ryan had called the Eagles overrated and disparaged talk that they were a dream team earlier this year.

“It ain’t like I can run on the sideline and tackle the coach,” Jackson said.

Ryan blamed the media for blowing the whole thing out of proportion, but said he wasn’t about to stop speaking his mind.
