EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings agreed to terms on contracts with wide receiver Michael Jenkins and quarterback Christian Ponder, their top pick in the draft, on Sunday.

Jenkins has spent his entire seven-year career with the Atlanta Falcons after they drafted him 29th overall in 2004.

He had 41 catches for 505 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games last season, but missed the first five contests because of a shoulder injury.

The 29-year-old caught 276 passes for 3,512 yards and 20 touchdowns in 103 career games with the Falcons.

Drafted No. 12 overall by the Vikings, Ponder spent his college career with Florida State and won the James Tatum award in 2010 as the nation's top student-athlete.

His signing came two days after the Vikings traded for Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb.

The Vikings signed 21 other players on Sunday, including wide receiver Devin Aromashodu and kicker Ryan Longwell along with the rest of their 2011 draft picks.
