EARTH CITY, MO. - The St. Louis Rams added to their young stock of wide receivers Saturday with the signing of Mike Sims-Walker.

Sims-Walker has proven to be a playmaker during his first four years in the NFL. The Central Florida had been with the Jaguars since they selected him in the third round of the 2007 draft.

"I've always liked St. Louis the city," Sims-Walker said. "The team is on the up. They've got a great young quarterback and some great coaches. I'm excited to be here."

The 26-year-old caught 43 passes for 562 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games last season.

Over 38 career contest, Sims-Walker has 122 receptions for 1,648 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Sims-Walker was on hand Saturday for the team's first practice of training camp. He was forced to watch from the sidelines since free agents aren't allowed to practice until the new league year begins on August 4.
