TORONTO - Carson Palmer is a lot like the Cincinnati Bengals’ offence.

You know; not going anywhere!

“We are not trading Carson,” Bengals’ owner Mike Brown said, via Twitter, confirming reports that the Bengals’ quarterback had asked to be traded.

There are reports that Palmer is so serious about leaving that he is considering retirement rather than return to the Bengals.

Brown said the idea Palmer, 31, might retire seemed impractical. “We’ll just have to see how it plays out,” Brown said. “We’ll reach out to him and understand the things that are in his craw. Maybe there are things we can do that will appeal to him.”

Meantime, Palmer isn’t getting much love from Chad Ochocinco who was very vocal in attempting to orchestrate his own departure from Cincinnati three years ago.

“Carson Palmer demands a trade? Last person demanded a trade in Cincy was crucified by the media (and) had to win the fans back, how will this go?” Ochocinco said via Twitter.
