PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Eagles will take the field as NFC East champions when they host the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday night.

The Eagles and Vikings were supposed to play each other Sunday night, but a snowstorm in Philadelphia forced a change of plans. The game will be played Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. (et) and will be broadcast by NBC.

A 45-17 loss by the New York Giants at Green Bay Sunday gave the Eagles the NFC East crown. It's the sixth division title in the last 10 years for the Eagles, who still have a chance for a first-round bye in the playoffs.

This is the third straight week the Vikings have had a game moved due to inclement weather. A snowstorm caused the roof of the Metrodome to collapse a couple of weeks ago, forcing Minnesota's game against the Giants to be moved to Monday night in Detroit. The Vikings lost that game, 21-3, at Ford Field.

Because of the damage to the Metrodome, Minnesota's contest last Monday against Chicago was moved to TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The Bears won that game, 40-14.

"What else can you say? Just add this to the list for the 2010 season," said Vikings defensive end Jared Allen. "But you know what, we have to remain together as a team and keep a positive mind frame. It's important to be a professional and be ready to play on Tuesday night."

Because of the game being moved to Tuesday night, it also means a short week of preparation for both teams for their regular season finales. The 5-9 Vikings, who are out of playoff contention, play at Detroit on January 2. The Eagles host Dallas next Sunday.

"We're organized and prepared for this, and we completely support what the league did from a safety standpoint for everybody," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "We got the guys out of the hotel and home, and they'll come back for a walkthrough tomorrow and then to the hotel, and it will be just like a Saturday night before a Sunday game, just a normal Saturday night-Sunday schedule."
