TAMPA - Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck left Sunday's 38-15 loss to Tampa Bay with a hip injury.
Hasselbeck was injured on a one-yard touchdown scramble that put the Seahawks up 7-0 in the final minutes of the first quarter.
He ran off right tackle for the score but came up limp as he crossed the goal line and was seen grabbing his lower back. Hasselbeck was attended to on the bench and headed to the locker room shortly thereafter and did not return.
Charlie Whitehurst finished the game for Seattle but threw for a disappointing 66 yards on 11-of-18 passing.
The Seahawks (6-9) will host St. Louis (7-8) next week in an all-or-nothing game to decide the NFC West title.
