JACKSONVILLE - The Jaguars' Maurice Jones-Drew, currently second in the NFL in rushing yards, is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins due to a knee injury.
Jones-Drew has been dealing with the ailment through most of the season but has not missed a game. In fact, the diminutive tailback has missed just one contest during his five-year career. A second absence seems likely this Sunday considering he has missed all three practice sessions this week.
The Jaguars are currently tied with the Indianapolis Colts atop the AFC South and could certainly use the services of Jones-Drew, who has amassed 1,324 yards and five touchdowns on the ground while also catching 34 balls for 317 yards and two more scores.
Wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker is also banged up for Jacksonville and is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
