San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Cincinnati.

Gates will miss his third game in a row due to a torn plantar fascia in his right foot. He did not practice all week.

In 10 games this season, Gates has hauled in 50 passes for 782 yards and 10 touchdowns.

San Diego linebacker Stephen Cooper has also been ruled out for the game with a knee injury that prevented him from practicing during the week.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Malcolm Floyd was listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury that kept him from taking the field during practice this week. Fellow wide out Patrick Crayton is also doubtful because of a wrist injury. He was limited in practice Wednesday and fully participated Thursday before sitting out Friday's session.

Running back Ryan Mathews (illness), fullback Jacob Hester (illness) and linebacker Antwan Applewhite (ankle) are all listed as probable for the game.
