Christmas is coming and all Michael Vick wants under his tree is, you guessed it, a puppy.

Yup, the convicted dog-killer wants one more kick at the can to prove to one and all that he has reformed, has seen the light and that he can offer love and companionship to all things soft and furry.

"I would love to have another dog in the future," Vick said in an interview. "I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process, I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals."

As part of his sentence for his role in a dog-fighting ring, Vick was prohibited from ever owning another dog and it's unlikely that ban will ever be lifted.

Vick then went on and more or less buried himself in the interview by claiming that he never realized that dog-fighting was wrong and that it was part of his "culture."

In what can only be described as disturbing, Vick added that it never occurred to him that the training and brutal treatment that the dogs received was just intrinsically wrong on so many levels.

"There was nothing that ever told me it wasn't right," Vick added. "No one ever told me it was the wrong thing to do."
