Colts bring back Rhodes

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts placed starting cornerback Jerraud Powers on injured reserve with an arm injury and signed running back Dominic Rhodes on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Powers started 10 games this season and registered two interceptions, a team-high nine passes defensed and 53 tackles.

Rhodes returns to Indianapolis where he played for seven seasons (2001-06 and 2008) and helped the Colts win the Super Bowl following the 2006 season when he ran for 113 yards and a touchdown.

He played for the Florida Tuskers in the UFL this past season.

Over eight NFL seasons, spanning 96 games (33 starts), Rhodes has rushed for 3,114 yards and 26 touchdowns and caught 146 passes for 1,021 yards with four touchdowns.
