ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Friday morning.

Williams, who was previously arrested for DUI in 2005, was pulled over at 2:40 a.m. in Denver and has a court date on Dec. 13.

"We are aware of the incident involving D.J. Williams and are in the process of gathering information of that entire situation," said Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels, who stated the team will defer to the league in regards to a possible suspension. "We're certainly disappointed and we do not condone that type of behavior from any of our players or anyone within our organization."

In eight games this season -- his seventh with the Broncos -- the 28-year-old Williams has 72 tackles with 3 1/2 sacks.
