After weeks of foot dragging and silence, Jenn Sterger finally met Thursday -- Remembrance Day or Veterans Day south of the border -- with NFL bigwigs.

Did news of that development caused Brett Favre's heart to skip a beat?

Sterger, of course, is the femme fatale who when an in-house sideline reporter for the New York Jets back in 2008 received unsolicited voice messages and alleged photos of Favre's 'junk'.

according to the New York Post, Sterger met for several hours with Milt Ahlerich, the league's top security official. Also present was Sterger's lawyer, Joseph Conway, and her manager, Phil Reese.

"We can confirm that a meeting took place with the NFL today and we co-operated fully by providing them with substantial materials in our possession," Reese said. "We now await the NFL's decision."

It is a messy and slightly odd affair any which way you look at it. To begin with, Sterger never launched a complaint over the incidents until it was all outed on deadspin.com.

The rumour mill has also been suggesting that in the interim, Sterger and company have been hitting Favre up for a settlement.

So now it's all in the NFL's lap and the last thing they want to do is suspend one of their star players, especially a legend like Favre.

However, the way the Minnesota Vikings are going this season and the way that Favre has been battered and banged, the NFL would be doing him a big favour by suspending him.
