BOSTON -- The New England Patriots are set to sign kicker Shayne Graham.
The Globe reported on Tuesday the move is imminent since the Pats' regular kicker, Stephen Gostkowski, left Sunday's loss in Cleveland in the second quarter with a thigh problem and was later diagnosed with a quad injury.
In that game, punter Zoltan Mesko handled kickoffs and wideout Wes Welker kicked an extra point.
Graham, who spent last season with the Cincinnati Bengals but was cut after missing two field goals in a playoff loss to the Jets in January, saw action in one game with the New York Giants this year -- going 4-for-4 in extra points in a 28-20 win over Detroit on October 17.
The undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech has connected on 196-of-230 field goals and 280-of-283 extra points over 10 NFL seasons with the Bills, Panthers, Bengals and Giants since 2001.
