BEREA, Ohio -- Colt McCoy will start at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns on Sunday against the New England Patriots, as head coach Eric Mangini has ruled out Seneca Wallace.

Mangini said Friday that Wallace, dealing with an ankle sprain, has a chance to be active for the game but will not start.

McCoy will make his third consecutive start and his first at home. The 24- year-old rookie's first start was in Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, when he went 23-for-33 with 281 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.

The following week he completed 9-of-16 passes for 74 yards in a win over New Orleans.

Wallace and fellow quarterback Jake Delhomme (ankle) both missed practice Friday, as they are still rehabbing their injuries.
