SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson will apparently end his lengthy holdout and report to the team next week.

NBC San Diego reported on Thursday that Jackson, according to his agent, will sign a prorated one-year tender with the Chargers and report to the club on October 29. He will sit out three games as a result of being on the roster exempt list and can make his season debut in Week 11.

If he plays from then through the rest of the season, he can accrue his sixth year of league service time. He will then become an unrestricted free agent following the end of the 2010 campaign.

Jackson, who was also suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy, caught 68 passes for 1,167 yards and nine touchdowns in 2009 to establish career-highs in each category.

During his five seasons in the league, all with San Diego, Jackson has made 198 grabs for 3,400 yards and 25 scores.

Jackson turned down a one-year, $3.268 million tender in the offseason.
