CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox has decided to again change quarterbacks and named Matt Moore as the starter for this Sunday's game against San Francisco.

Jimmy Clausen had started the past three games after Moore opened the first two for the 0-5 Panthers, who are the only winless team in the NFC and are coming off their bye week.

Moore completed just 40.8% of his passes for 307 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions in losses to the Giants and Buccaneers before Fox made the switch to Clausen.

The rookie from Notre Dame saw mop-up duty in each of the first two games, then got the starting nod in Week 3 against Cincinnati. In five games overall, Clausen has completed 43-of-91 passes for 454 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.

Moore took over for Clausen in Carolina's loss to Chicago on Oct. 10 and connected on just half of his 10 throws for 35 yards with two picks. The Panthers had just 62 yards passing in the 23-6 setback.

The Panthers have scored a league-low 52 points in five games and entered Week 6 with the lowest-ranked offence in the league.

Moore guided the Panthers to wins in their last three games of the 2009 season and was tabbed as the team's starter in the offseason after the Panthers cut veteran Jake Delhomme.
