Cutler cleared to practice

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was cleared to practice without limitations on Wednesday, less than two weeks after suffering a concussion.

Cutler departed during a a 17-3 loss to the New York Giants two Sundays ago after being knocked down hard while taking a sack. He had been brought down nine times over the first two quarters and did not return to start the second half, finishing 8-of-11 for 42 yards with an interception.

Todd Collins replaced him under center and completed 4-of-11 passes for 36 yards before also being knocked out of the game, late in the fourth quarter. Caleb Hanie took over and went 3-of-4 for 36 yards the rest of the way.

The Bears took a 23-6 decision at Carolina this past Sunday with Collins under center, but he finished 6-of-16 for 32 yards and was picked off four times. Hanie completed two passes for 19 yards in the win.
