ALAMEDA, CA - Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden will not play in Sunday's game against San Diego.

McFadden, who has amassed 554 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns through the first four weeks of the season, is dealing with a hamstring issue that caused him to miss practice all week.

Michael Bush is expected to carry the load in McFadden's absence. The third- year back missed the first two games of the year with a thumb injury and logged 40 yards on seven carries in last week's loss to Houston.

"When [Bush has] played, he's always been a productive guy. He can carry a load," Raiders head coach Tom Cable said on Friday. "He has that innate ability when he gets through the line to make the safety miss."

Guard Robert Gallery (hamstring) has also been ruled out for the Week 5 contest.
