CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore went through a full practice on Thursday and, barring something unforeseen, is expected to start Sunday's home opener against Tampa Bay.

Moore also participated in practice on Wednesday after leaving last Sunday's season starter against the New York Giants with a concussion.

According to head coach John Fox, Moore has been given the medical clearance to play this week.

Moore was hurt with 2:28 left in the game when he was hit from the blind side by New York defensive end Osi Umenyiora. Moore fumbled on the play, but the Panthers recovered.

Rookie Jimmy Clausen replaced Moore, who finished the contest by completing 14-of-33 passes for 182 yards and a TD, but he was picked off three times.
