BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns could have Seneca Wallace as their starting quarterback for Sunday's game against Kansas City because Jake Delhomme has not practiced this week due to an ankle injury.

Delhomme was apparently hurt during the team's season-opening loss to Tampa Bay, but managed to finish the contest. He completed 20-of-37 passes for 227 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the 17-14 setback.

This is Delhomme's first season with Cleveland after spending the past seven years with Carolina. Wallace, meanwhile, is also in his first season with the Browns after spending the past seven years with Seattle -- mostly in a backup role.

Wallace has started 14 games in his career and has a record of 5-9. He has thrown for 3,547 yards with 25 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while completing 59.9% of his passes.
