FOXBORO, Mass. - New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker is active for Sunday’s game against Cincinnati after making a quick recovery from a torn left ACL injury he suffered late last season.

Welker suffered the injury in New England’s Week 17 game against Houston last year, forcing him to miss the team’s playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

One of the most reliable possession receivers in the NFL, Welker recorded a league-best 123 receptions last season for a career-high 1,348 yards and four touchdowns. He has caught at least 111 passes in each of his three seasons with the Patriots.

Among the inactives is running back Laurence Maroney, who led the Patriots last season with 757 rushing yards on 194 carries in 15 games. He has been battling a thigh injury and was officially listed as questionable on the injury report.

Also inactive for New England are wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot) and cornerback Terrence Wheatley (foot).
