DETROIT -- Cleveland Browns defensive back Nick Sorensen left Saturday's 35-27 loss to the Lions with an undisclosed injury.
Sorensen was hurt in the second quarter when he was blocked by a pair of Lions defenders on a kickoff.
Both team's medical staffs were called on to evaluate him on the field. Sorensen was loaded onto a backboard and then a stretcher to be taken for evaluation at a local Detroit hospital.
"He's on his way back from the hospital and all the tests were negative," Browns head coach Eric Mangini said on the team's website. "That's great news and we're happy about that. That was a pretty big hit that he took and it's a scary part of the game."
