Brett Favre isn’t making yet another comeback in a vacuum.

When he returns he will become the Vikings No. 1 quarterback, knocking others in the pecking order down the line and one candidate right out of a job.

So the Vikings quarterbacks, who have been battling for the No. 1 job in Favre’s absence from training camp, seemed less than thrilled that three of their teammates travelled to Mississippi and talked the grizzled gunslinger into coming back.

“I really don’t care,” Tarvaris Jackson said. “I feel like if my number’s called, I’m going to be ready and I’m going to continue to try to work hard and get better. That’s all I can do.

“My teammates, that’s their prerogative. I can’t really control that, so I’m just going to do my part.”

Said Sage Rosenfels: “I know some teammates aren’t here, but I don’t know where they’re at. That’s not my business ... My mind hasn’t been on that situation and I haven’t really talked to guys about it.”

That doesn’t sound all warm and fuzzy.
