Metairie, LA – The New Orleans Saints on Saturday waived/injured running back Lynell Hamilton and signed free agent linebacker Harry Coleman.

Hamilton suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a combined practice with New England earlier this week.

Hamilton played in nine games during the regular last year and rushed 35 times for 125 yards with a pair of touchdowns. He also made five receptions for 48 yards.

Coleman was signed by New Orleans as a rookie free agent in May and participated in the team's offseason program before being waived prior to the start of training camp
