Vick now failing the kids

Michael Vick is easily one of the most exciting players we've ever seen take a snap in the National Football League.

He's also one of the biggest buffoons.

Never mind the water bottle with a secret compartment that smelled like weed he tried to bring aboard an airplane.

Forget the disgusting dog-fighting ring to which federal officers have publicly linked him to and are now doing everything in their power to build a case for charges.

It's the fact he's now failing the kids that may earn him a spot in the Scumbag Hall of Fame.

A youth football camp going at the College of William & Mary June 24-27 hosts Vick's latest victims. He's pulled out citing a scheduling conflict.

There's no word on what is more important on Vick's calendar that week but it sure sounds like a lame excuse considering his sudden reversal comes after the feds searched the alleged dog-fighting manor he owns nearby.

Washington Redskins QB Jason Campbell will take Vick's place but half the kids attending won't even recognize him.

Vick also cancelled his own youth camp that was scheduled for June 30 at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, where the Atlanta Falcons' star quarterback grew up.

Way to give back to the community, Mike.

At a time the scrambling sensation should be doing his best to improve his image, Vick is making things worse by avoiding any public appearance.

Maybe the scheduling conflict is time he's reserving for a court date Vick has a feeling is coming sooner or later.
