Minnesota (5-7) at Detroit (2-10)
The line: Lions by 2 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. After last week's disastrous finish at New England, it would be great to see Lions QB Jon Kitna rebound. I fear Detroit is overmatched, especially if Minnie gets the run going and keeps Brad Johnson throwing short, low-risk passes.
Cody's call: Vikings 23-21
Tennessee (5-7) at Houston (4-8)
The line: Texans by 1 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Since getting throttled 37-7 by Jacksonville on Nov. 5, the Titans have upset the Colts, Giants and Eagles and lost to the Ravens by a point.
Cody's call: Titans 27-20
New England (9-3) at Miami (5-7)
The line: Patriots by 3 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Patriots won't have the luxury of snoozing through three quarters as they did against Detroit. This week, they'll have to be up and at 'em by, say, the start of the third quarter.
Cody's call: Patriots 23-17
Oakland (2-10) at Cincinnati (7-5)
The line: Bengals by 11
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Raiders can't win because they can't score. Their 146 points in 12 games is barely half the Bengals' 290.
Cody's call: Bengals 23-10
Philadelphia (6-6) at Washington (4-8)
The line: Eagles by 1
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Maybe Philly fans aren't the fools they appeared to be early in Monday's win over the Panthers. Their booing helped pull a stellar performance out of quarterback Jeff Garcia.
Cody's call: Eagles 21-16
Baltimore (9-3) at Kansas City 7-5)
The line: Chiefs by 3
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. On the road, the Chiefs might bow to the Browns and others of their ilk. But at home, they're good as gold (5-1).
Cody's call: Chiefs 27-23
Atlanta (6-6) at Tampa Bay (3-9)
The line: Falcons by 3
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Mike Vick and Co. scored 24 unanswered points Sunday to overhaul the Redskins and end a four-game losing streak. That should add up to a big shot of confidence.
Cody's call: Falcons 20-16
N.Y. Giants (6-6) at Carolina (6-6)
The line: Panthers by 3
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Neither the Giants nor Panthers can afford to lose this one. The question is: Which has the stuff to win it?
Cody's call: Panthers 27-26
Indianapolis (10-2) at Jacksonville (7-5)
The line: Colts by 1 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Colts ran into a hot quarterback (Titans' Vince Young) last week. This week, they face David Garrard, who has a good thing going.
Cody's call: Colts 30-28
Green Bay (4-8) at San Francisco (5-7)
The line: 49ers by 4 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 4:05 p.m. Niners' improving quarterback Alex Smith meets consummate warrior Brett Favre. Who will prevail in the battle of running backs -- the Pack's Ahman Green or San Fran's fabulous Frank Gore, the NFC's leading rusher with 1,217 yards?
Cody's call: 49ers 27-24
Seattle (8-4) at Arizona (3-9)
The line: Seahawks by 3
The skinny: Sunday, 4:05 p.m. Three-point spread? With Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander rounding back into form, this one shouldn't be that close.
Cody's call: Seahawks 27-14
Buffalo (5-7) at N.Y. Jets (7-5)
The line: Jets by 3 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. The Bills, try as they might, are too banged up to bring the high-flying Jets back to earth.
Cody's call: Jets 22-20
Denver (7-5) at San Diego (10-2)
The line: Chargers by 7 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. Living up to their nickname, the Chargers have won six in a row. The Broncos, struggling on offence, have lost three straight.
Cody's call: Chargers 27-20
New Orleans (8-4) at Dallas (8-4)
The line: Cowboys by 6 1/2
The skinny: Sunday, 8:15 p.m. (TSN). This is my must-see of the week. The Saints are 4-2 on the road this season, but Dallas is 4-1 at Texas Stadium.
Cody's call: Cowboys 23-21
Chicago (10-2) at St. Louis (5-7)
The line: Bears by 6 1/2
The skinny: Monday, 8:30 p.m. Da Bears are winning with defence and special teams, while quarterback Rex Grossman continues to slump (seven weeks and growing). A shakeup is needed and Brian Griese is good to go.
Cody's call: Bears 21-20
Last week: 7-9; overall: 114-78
Last week: 7-8; overall: 80-111
