DETROIT (1-5) AT N.Y. JETS (3-3)

The line: Jets by 3 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Both of these lightweights won 20-17 last week. The Lions will miss suspended drug cheat Shaun Rogers, their Pro Bowl defensive tackle. They may win another down the road -- but not on the road.

Cody's call: Jets 24-17

GREEN BAY (1-4) AT MIAMI (1-5)

The line: Dolphins by 4 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. While it's better this year, the Packers defence is still giving up way too much, especially through the air.

Cody's call: Dolphins 20-17

PITTSBURGH (2-3) AT ATLANTA (3-2)

The line: Steelers by 1 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Falcons passing attack is at the bottom of the heap, which really hurts their chances against the Steelers, who crush runners like grapes.

Cody's call: Steelers 23-21

JACKSONVILLE (3-2) AT HOUSTON (1-4)

The line: Jaguars by 9 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. I like the Jags straight up in this one, even though they're 0-2 on the road this season.

Cody's call: Jaguars 20-13

NeW ENGLAND (4-1) AT BUFFALO (2-4)

The line: Patriots by 5 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Tom Brady has owned the Bills (10-1 against them). Also, the Pats are coming off a bye week. The Bills are coming off a loss to the Lions.

Cody's call: Patriots 24-10

CAROLINA (4-2) AT CINCINNATI (3-2)

The line: Bengals by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Panthers have won four straight and their best players are at the top of their game. That will override the bungling Bengals' home advantage.

Cody's call: Panthers 21-17

SAN DIEGO (4-1) AT KANSAS CITY (2-3)

The line: Chargers by 5

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Even at home, the Chiefs will be hard-pressed to stay with the Chargers. Philip Rivers is No. 1 in the AFC with a 100.6 passer rating.

Cody's call: Chargers 31-17

PHILADELPHIA (4-2) AT TAMPA BAY (1-4)

The line: Eagles by 5

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Donovan McNabb is bouncing back beautifully, hence Philly leads the NFL in total yards a game and passing offence. The Bucs got their first win last week, but they still can't score.

Cody's call: Eagles 24-14

DENVER (4-1) AT CLEVELAND (1-4)

The line: Broncos by 4 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 4:05 p.m. The Broncos will rain on Reuben Droughns' reunion with his ex-mates. Denver has won four straight and is limiting opponents to an NFL-low 7.4 points a game.

Cody's call: Broncos 20-7

MINNESOTA (3-2) AT SEATTLE (4-1)

The line: Seahawks by 6 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. The Seahawks have won 12 straight at home, outscoring opponents 352-190.

Cody's call: Seahawks 17-14

WASHINGTON (2-4) AT INDIANAPOLIS (5-0)

The line: Colts by 9

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. It really doesn't matter that Clinton Portis might give Indy's 32nd-ranked run D fits because the Redskins have even less of a chance against Peyton Manning and Co.

Cody's call: Colts 30-23

ARIZONA (1-5) AT OAKLAND (0-5)

The line: Cardinals by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. While it wasn't his fault the Cards blew a 20-0 lead and lost 24-23 to da Bears Monday, Edgerrin James needs to do better than 55 yards on 36 carries.

Cody's call: Cardinals 20-10

DALLAS (3-2) AT N.Y. GIANTS (3-2)

The line: Cowboys by 3

The skinny: Monday, 8:30 p.m. (TSN, NBC). Gut feeling on this annual noodle-knocker: Red-hot Tiki Barber will not let Terrell Owens and Bill Parcells take a bite out of the Big Apple.

Cody's call: Giants 23-17
