Buffalo (0-1) at Miami (0-1)

The line: Dolphins by 7

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Bills and Dolphins played well in opening-week losses against strong opponents but the Dolphins, besides being at home, are closer to the real thing.

Cody's call: Dolphins 20-14

Detroit (0-1) at Chicago (0-1)

The line: Bears by 8

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. When the Lions have to hit the road, they automatically go south.

Cody's call: Bears 21-3

Houston (0-1) at Indianapolis (1-0)

The line: Colts by 13

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. This is truly first versus worst.

Cody's call: Colts 33-10

Carolina (0-1) at Minnesota (1-0)

The line: Panthers by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Instead of standing around reading the predictions that they're going to win the Super Bowl, the Panthers need to play run defence.

Cody's call: Panthers 21-17

Oakland (0-1) at Baltimore (1-0)

The line: Ravens by 9

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. It's lucky the quarterback-challenged Ravens didn't believe that Tennessee trash talk about Steve McNair being washed up.

Cody's call: Ravens 24-13

Tampa Bay (0-1) at Atlanta (1-0)

The line: Falcons by 5 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Mike Vick and the Falcons took out one 11-5 team last week and could do it again. Ah, NFC South revenge is sweet.

Cody's call: Falcons 24-21

New Orleans (1-0) at Green Bay (1-0)

The line: Saints by 2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Saints will do what was once the unthinkable: March into Lambeau Field and smack the Pack.

Cody's call: Saints 17-14

Cleveland (0-1) at Cincinnati (1-0)

The line: Bengals by 10 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Hated that hit on Trent Green last Sunday, but still the Bengals did beat the Chiefs at home, no easy feat.

Cody's call: Bengals 23-17

New York Giants (0-1) at Philadelphia (1-0)

The line: Eagles by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. This game, not last Sunday's against Houston, will let the Eagles -- the rest of us, too -- know how high they might fly this season.

Cody's call: Eagles 21-14

Arizona (1-0) at Seattle (1-0)

The line: Seahawks by 7

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. While they're in the same division, the improving Cardinals are not yet in the Seahawks' league.

Cody's call: Seahawks 28-23

St. Louis (1-0) at San Francisco (0-1)

The line: Rams by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. The 49ers gave Edgerrin James a hard time (73 yards on 26 carries) last week. This week's assignment -- the Rams' Steven Jackson -- is a tough one, too.

Cody's call: Rams 24-20

New England (1-0) at N.Y. Jets (1-0)

The line: Patriots by 5 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. The Pats, who some think can win 14 games, got a wakeup call last week, courtesy of the Bills.

Cody's call: Patriots 27-13

Tennessee (0-1) at San Diego (1-0)

The line: Chargers by 10 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. Jets QB Chad Pennington had a field day against the Titans' pass D last week, so perhaps the Chargers will turn loose youngster Phil Rivers, who tossed only 11 passes (completing eight) Monday night against Oakland.

Cody's call: Chargers 23-14

Kansas City (0-1) at Denver (1-0)

The line: Broncos by 11

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. The Broncos are at home and in an ugly, embarrassed frame of mind as an opening-week underachiever. The Chiefs come in without their quarterback. So, let's do the math.

Cody's call: Broncos 28-16

Washington (0-1) at Dallas (0-1)

The line: Cowboys by 6

The skinny: Sunday, 8:15 p.m. Assuming Redskins owner Danny Snyder doesn't bring Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes along as his guests as he did Monday night, the entire spotlight will be on Terrell Owens -- just the way he likes it.

Cody's call: Cowboys 20-17

Pittsburgh (1-0) at Jacksonville (1-0)

The line: None

The skinny: Monday, 8:30 p.m. (NBC, TSN). At home or on the road, with or without Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers are worthy of a "Batch" of our confidence.

Cody's call: Steelers 24-21
