Atlanta (8-8) at Carolina 11-5)

The line: Panthers by 5

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Last season, the Panthers lost in the NFC final. This year, they're going all the way.

Cody's call: Panthers 27-20

New Orleans (3-13) at Cleveland (6-10)

The line: Browns by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Better on the road than at home in recent seasons, the Saints have Drew Brees and, of course, Reggie Bush.

Cody's call: Saints 12-10

Seattle (13-3) at Detroit (5-11)

The line: Seahawks by 6

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Lions are improved, but starting against Seattle, then da Bears, will put them in a hole.

Cody's call: Seahawks 24-17

Philadelphia (6-10) at Houston (2-14)

The line: Eagles by 5

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. With Terrell Owns someone else's problem, watch Donovan McNabb take flight again.

Cody's call: Eagles 23-10

Cincinnati (11-5) at Kansas City (10-6)

The line: Chiefs by 2 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Carson Palmer's knee and the Bengals' attack shouldn't be in question. It's Cinci's D that's in doubt -- especially against the likes of K.C.'s Larry Johnson.

Cody's call: Chiefs 28-24

Buffalo (5-11) at New England (10-6)

The line: Patriots by 9

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Dang. I've got that cheesy Brady Bunch song in my head and it won't go away.

Cody's call: Pats 23-6

Denver (13-3) at St. Louis (6-10)

The line: Broncos by 3 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. Adding wide receiver Javon Walker (the troubled Packer) could put the Broncos over the top.

Cody's call: Broncos 28-24

Baltimore (6-10) at Tampa Bay (11-5)

The line: Bucs by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The Ravens' acquisition of quarterback Steve McNair is overrated and the Buccaneers are coming off a strong finish, winning six of their last eight with Chris Simms at the helm.

Cody's call: Bucs 21-10

New York Jets (4-12) at Tennessee (4-12)

The line: Titans by 2 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 1 p.m. The improving, young Titans may not win a lot this season, but they should ground the Jets, who are hapless if not completely hopeless.

Cody's call: Titans 16-10

San Francisco (4-12) at Arizona (5-11)

The line: Cardinals by 7 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. Ex-Colt Edgerrin James gives the Cards' running game smack -- especially in the red zone where they scored just 13 TDs on 46 trips last season.

Cody's call: Cardinals 27-10

Chicago (11-5) at Green Bay (4-12)

The line: Bears by 3 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. Could prospects be blacker for us Packer backers?

Cody's call: Bears 27-21

Dallas (9-7) at Jacksonville (12-4)

The line: Jaguars by 2 1/2

The skinny: Sunday, 4:15 p.m. If Drew Bledsoe can stay healthy, the Terrell Owens experiment just might work for the Cowboys.

Cody's call: Cowboys 24-23

Indianapolis (14-2) at New York Giants (11-5)

The line: Colts by 3

The skinny: Sunday, 8:15 p.m. Peyton is the Manning in this family feud with bro Eli.

Cody's call: Colts 27-17

Minnesota (9-7) at Washington (10-6)

The line: Redskins by 4 1/2

The skinny: Monday, 7 p.m. Redskins brat owner Danny Snyder finally has the toy, er, team, most kids can only dream of. (Still, it won't last the season).

Cody's call: Redskins 23-17

San Diego (9-7) at Oakland (4-12)

The line: Chargers by 3

The skinny: Monday, 10:15 p.m. With Drew Brees jumping to the Saints, the Philip Rivers era starts in San Diego. It will help Rivers that LaDainian Tomlinson is in the same backfield.

Cody's call: Chargers 27-14

Last year, regular season

Straight up: 174-82 Spread: 126-99

Last year, playoffs

Straight up: 6-5 Spread: 6-5
