STREAK IS ON

When you're hot, you're hot. With four weeks remaining in the season, six teams head into action with winning streaks of at least five games, the most at this point in the season since 1970. Meanwhile, there are seven teams with a win percentage of .750 or better, matching a league record this late in the schedule.

Team Streak This week

Colts 12-0 at Jacksonville

Bears 8-0 at Pittsburgh

Seahawks 8-0 vs. San Francisco

Chargers 5-0 vs. Miami

Jaguars 5-0 vs. Colts

Vikings 5-0 vs. St. Louis

SOUTHERN DISCOMFORT

This week's feature in the tough NFC South race has the 8-4 Tampa Bay Bucs taking on the 9-3 Carolina Panthers. A win by the Bucs, who have allowed just one touchdown the past two weeks, would create another tie for first in the tight division. "I think it's mutual disrespect," Bucs cornerback Brian Kelly said of this week's opposition.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher would like to make life miserable for Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger tomorrow in Pittsburgh. But Urlacher is getting frustrated at the protection quarterbacks are getting from the officials. "Where are we supposed to hit the guy?," Urlacher said. "You can't hit him in the face, you can't hit him in the chest, you can't hit him in the knees. People call it dirty. Call it what you want. We can't hit him or we get fined."
