INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts aren't big on talking about a perfect season so the Tennessee Titans did it for them.
After yesterday's 35-3 blowout, the victims acknowledged that the victors are almost unstoppable.
"If there's a team ahead of them that can beat them, I'll be surprised," Titans tackle Brad Hopkins said. "You don't want to fall behind in a place like this against a team like this.
"That's when ugliness happens."
The Colts, who clinched a playoff berth, didn't use as much flash as they have in the past.
Instead they put on a clinical show of both offence and defence including a 60-yard fumble return for a touchdown by hulking tackle Larry Tripplett.
"They bled us slowly, went methodically down the field and didn't miss a beat," Titans linebacker Keith Bullock said.
And on the topic of perfection, Titans quarterback Steve McNair said that's what it will take to stop the Colts, who now face a tough three-week stretch with games against Jacksonville, San Diego and Seattle.
"We thought that if we had played a perfect game, we could have won," McNair said. "They are a great team."
