A quick glance down the NFL standings and you're sure to notice some of the tight battles for top spots, not to mention an awesome Seahawks team, a rejuvenated Bears squad and an undefeated Colts club. Looks like we're in for a treat.

BUFFALO +4 AT MIAMI: Yes, the Dolphins are playing better, finding some chemistry on both sides of the ball. Will they beat the Bills? No. Bills 27 Dolphins 21.

CINCINNATI +3 1/2 AT PITTSBURGH: The Steelers will look to repair their bruised ego after losing to the Colts. But the Cats have their motive: Clinching the AFC North title. Bengals 33 Steelers 28.

HOUSTON +8 AT BALTIMORE: No one's watching this battle of the bottom dwellers but if you insist on betting on this one, I've got a feeling about the Texans. Texans 27 Ravens 19.

TENNESSEE +15 AT INDIANAPOLIS: There's tons to talk about it when it comes to the league's best team. Will they go undefeated? Will they rest players? The one question we know the answer to right now is Indy will beat the Titans. Colts 34 Titans 17 in the week's BEST BET.

JACKSONVILLE -3 AT CLEVELAND: The Jaguars have only one request of backup QB David Garrard: Don't turn the ball over. If he obliges, the Jags should beat the Browns. Jaguars 24 Browns 17.

DALLAS +3 AT NEW YORK GIANTS: Both teams are coming off OT losses and this one will be that close again. I'm going with Eli over Drew. Giants 30 Cowboys 20.

GREEN BAY +7 AT CHICAGO: Wow, da Bears, who knew? Bears 19 Packers 10.

MINNESOTA -3 AT DETROIT: As hard as it is to believe, the Vikings can still make the playoffs. Christmas comes early vs. the Lions. Vikings 30 Lions 26.

ATLANTA +2 1/2 AT CAROLINA: It's Atlanta's top-ranked rush offence against a great run-stuffing D. Meaning, if Mike Vick really considers himself a pocket passer, it's time to prove it. Falcons 29 Panthers 25.

TAMPA BAY -3 1/2 AT NEW ORLEANS: Bucs coach Jon Gruden knows his team needs this one. His team should know it, too. Bucs 20 Saints 12.

ARIZONA -3 AT SAN FRANCISCO: Only respectability on the line. Niners 24 Cardinals 21.

WASHINGTON -3 AT ST. LOUIS: Rookie Ryan Fitzpatrick has had his 15 minutes of fame. Redskins 25 Rams 20.

NEW YORK JETS +10 AT NEW ENGLAND: Tom Brady and the Pats were embarrassed last weekend against the Chiefs and will be looking to take their frustrations out on the Jets. Patriots 24 Jets 10.

DENVER -1 AT KANSAS CITY: The Chiefs will ride the momentum from beating the defending Super Bowl champs and move within a game of the AFC's West Division leaders. Chiefs 33 Broncos 30 in the UPSET OF THE WEEK.

OAKLAND + 11 AT SAN DIEGO: Bolts running back LaDainan Tomlinson owns the Raiders. That won't change Sunday. Chargers 29 Raiders 22.

SEATTLE -4 AT PHILADELPHIA: The Seahawks are for real. 'Hawks 34 Eagles 23.

RECORD: My overall record remains 43-54 against the spread and 64-33 straight up.
