He may be on a miserable team, but Arizona Cardinals kicker Neil Rackers is making some history this season.

Rackers has connected on 31 consecutive field goals, tying him for the third-longest streak in NFL history, and just 11 behind the Colts' Mike Vanderjagt's record of 42.

Rackers isn't just a chip-shot guy. He has set an NFL record by hitting on a field goal of 50 yards or more in four consecutive games and his 11 games in a row with at least two field goals also is a league mark.

TALKIN' WILLIS

Buffalo Bills coach Mike Mularkey loves the confidence of running back Willis McGahee. He'd just prefer McGahee not share that opinion with the world.

Twice this season, including prior to last week's blowout loss to the San Diego Chargers, McGahee has provided bulletin-board fare by crowing that he is the best back in the league.

"I don't think it was a boast, I think he believes he's that good," Mularkey said.

"Just don't say it."

QUICK KICKS

Lost in the offensive prowess of Seattle running back Shaun Alexander: The Seahawks lead the NFL with 34 sacks ... Alexander is one touchdown away from becoming just the fourth player in NFL history to score 20 touchdowns in a season twice in his career. Alexander is on pace to pass Marshall Faulk's single-season record of 26 TDs.
