NEW YORK GIANTS (5-2)

Not to heap too much credit on one big win, but the Giants are starting to look good in all phases.

HOUSTON TEXANS (1-6)

Sure it was only the Browns, but the sad-sack Texans (emphasis on sack) finally get it done. See what David Carr can do with some blocking?

CAROLINA PANTHERS (5-2)

Quietly building up a big record in the NFC. Apparently WR Steve Smith can play.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS (4-3)

Good teams respond to big challenges? Average teams, like the 'Skins, roll over.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (4-3)

A week ago, they held LaDainian Tomlinson to seven yards rushing. Sunday, the Broncos rolled for more than 250 on the ground.

TAMPA BAY BUCS (5-2)

Only two losses, but they've come against San Francisco and Miami. Far more average than their record suggests.
