JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears were without five offensive starters, including three linemen, Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Right tackle John Tait and right guard Rex Tucker were inactive, forcing Terrence Metcalf and Aaron Gibson into the starting lineup. Tait had been listed as doubtful with a knee injury; Tucker was considered probable with a strained hamstring.
Making matters worse, veteran guard Ruben Brown is out for the season with a neck injury. Brown started nine games this season.
The Bears signed Bryan Anderson off the practice squad Saturday, and the second-year player was the lone reserve guard against the Jaguars.
Two more offensive starters, tight end Desmond Clark (rib/shoulder) and fullback Bryan Johnson (foot), also were inactive. They had been listed as questionable.
