It was a pretty darn good week at Florida State.

First, the Florida State Seminoles got the No. 2 ranking in the NCAA’s BCS Standings.

Then, they watched the No. 3 team — the nation’s offensive juggernaut — get shut down, and with it, saw the Heisman Trophy chances of their dynamic QB, Jameis Winston, improve drastically.

And to cap it off, the Seminoles took care of their own business, cruising to a win over a usual-thorn-in-the-side rival Saturday afternoon. The ’Noles dropped the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 59-3.

“Everything’s falling into place now,” ’Noles defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. told The Associated Press, “like (head coach Jimbo Fisher) said it would.”

They can thank the Stanford Cardinal for that.
