Penn State cuts 'Sweet Caroline' from games
By QMI Agency
You won't be hearing Neil Diamond's hit "Sweet Caroline" at Penn State football home games any longer.
Following the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal, school officials have deemed the lyrics to the 1969 song inappropriate, reports TMZ.
The song, which also can be heard at Boston Red Sox games, contains the lyrics "touching me, touching you". Diamond has said he was inspired by a photo of a then 11-year old Caroline Kennedy with her pony on the cover of a magazine.
Sandusky was found guilty on 45 of the 48 counts against him in June. He faces between 60 and 442 years in prison.
