Report: New cases against Sandusky
By SPORTS NETWORK
Two new cases of alleged child abuse against former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky have reportedly been opened in Pennsylvania.
According to the Patriot-News, Children and Youth Services opened the cases, which were reported less than 60 days ago. The paper said the cases are still in the beginning stages of investigation.
Sandusky, the former longtime defensive coordinator at Penn State, has been charged with 40 counts of various sexual crimes against children. The charges against Sandusky were announced earlier this month.
But the Patriot-News reported that, if credible, the new cases would be the first known to be reported that involve people who are currently children. The paper said other cases of alleged victims coming forward have been adults.
