WINNIPEG - The Bombers, who need to find a way to stop the run, will be without two starting members of their front seven on Friday night against the Alouettes.

Defensive end Jason Vega and linebacker Ejiro Kuale will both be on the sidelines due to injuries sustained in last week's 38-21 loss to the Toronto Argonauts. Vega has turf toe, while Kuale suffered a right shoulder injury.

Abe Kromah will start in place of Kuale, while rookie defensive lineman Kashawn Fraser will take Vega's spot on the roster and should get a healthy dose of reps against the Alouettes.

Kromah hasn't played a regular-season CFL game since the last match of the 2012 campaign, when he played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and he's been hard at work this week getting ready for his Winnipeg debut.

"E.J. and Ian (Wild) have been doing a great job of making sure he's in the right place at the right time," Bombers head coach Mike O'Shea said.
