Zach Anderson doesn’t know a lot about the rivalry between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

But that didn’t stop the second-year Bombers defensive lineman from tossing a log onto the fire as Thursday’s game approaches.

Asked what jumps out at him about the Riders O-line, and Anderson didn’t hold back.

“I want to say cheap. I want to say dirty. Quote me on dirty,” Anderson said Tuesday. “If they can get away with something, they’re going to ... We not only have to be on the top of our game, we have to make sure we don’t get hurt out there, either. That’s a major thing.”

Anderson included the entire Saskatchewan line in his assessment, while acknowledging Brendon LaBatte and Dominic Picard are the ringleaders.

“Those are the leaders and that’s who we need to chop down,” he said.

Riders head coach Corey Chamblin appeared surprised to hear Anderson’s accusation.
